What can you do with a bachelor's in computer science?
Computer Engineering / Software Engineering
Professionals in this field design, build, and maintain software programs. Software developers can work in virtually any industry, since just about every product and service in our modern economy rely on technology in some shape or form.
Computer information systems / Information Technology
Database administrators and information technologists use their aptitudes to troubleshoot problems and keep technology systems running smoothly. In this field, you’ll manage intricate networks of hardware and software working codependently
Robotics / Artificial Intelligence
A computer can only do what it is programmed to do. However, using artificial intelligence, computers can be programmed to “think.” They can take input and determine the best output. They can find patterns and learn from previous outcomes. Robots are the intersection of computing and physical space. Robots use computer programming to move in three-dimensional space and perform tangible tasks. In this discipline, you’ll design and program robots- both the tangible hardware and the virtual software.
Cybersecurity
Technology is used to store and transmit sensitive data; credit card numbers, personal information, company financials, and the list goes on. In a career in cybersecurity, you will keep data and systems safe from digital attacks.
