Career trajectory
What can you do with a bachelor's in psychology?
At Concordia, we understand your need for a solid foundation in order to build up your future. That's why we are committed to providing a faith-centered, liberal arts education in psychological studies that can be directly applied to your dream career.
Career trajectory
Often, those who desire to pursue a career in psychology need a graduate or doctoral degree before becoming active practitioners. After you've finished your bachelor's degree, consider stepping forward in your calling with a graduate degree:
Psychologist/Psychiatrist
Advanced psychology practitioners often need their PhD. or MD in order to practice or prescribe medication. Choosing your master's degree first can help set you on the right path, allowing you to enter the workforce faster so you can begin seeing a return on your investment sooner, while still paving the way for your doctoral degree.
Counselor
Counselors are found in a variety of settings including private practices, schools, and even clinical settings. An online master's degree in counseling enables you to help others with mental health diagnoses, substance abuse disorders, and behavioral issues.
Social Worker
A career in social work can help take your passion for psychology to the next level. At Concordia, we offer both advanced generalist and clinical social work concentrations for our MSW. For additional accelerated options, it's possible to complete Concordia's BSW to MSW in 3 years through accelerated online courses.
Certified Family Life Educator
Do you have a passion specifically for families? Concordia's online master's in family life curriculum is aligned with the requirements of the National Council on Family Relations. This makes our FLE graduates eligible for their certification upon graduation, giving you the credentials you need to advocate for and serve families holistically.
Digital Humanist
Interested in where psychology and technology meet? An online master's in digital humanities will teach you how to navigate the ethical issues in the digital world while prioritizing your love for humanity.
