This Philosophy MOOC, “Philosophy KATA CHRISTON: A Pastor's Guided Introduction to Philosophy for the Gospel Ministry,” is a personal invitation for pastors, professors and motivated lay leaders in Christ’s church on earth to implement the apostle Paul’s admonition in Colossians 2 to be on guard against philosophy based on the ABC’s of this world by practicing philosophy KATA CHRISTON, that is, philosophy based on Christ Himself, God incarnate, and His written Word.

The second edition of this course, with all new video roundtable sessions, three original Socratic Vignettes on Knowledge and more, develops week-by-week over six weeks and can be completed at your own pace. It is delivered via Concordia University Wisconsin's world-class distance education platform.

The course begins 3 November 2017. Register today!

Join Rev Gregory Schulz, DMin, PhD, Professor of Philosophy at Concordia – along with a number of his fellow Lutheran pastors from DOXOLOGY and Southeastern Wisconsin – for this unique and personal guided introduction to philosophy and the ministerial use of reason for pastoral care and Christian caregiving in the 21st century. Professor Schulz is the author, among other books and published journal articles, of The Problem of Suffering and editor of The Problem of Suffering: A Companion and Guide, has taught and lectured in major universities in the U.S. and throughout the world, and is a popular presenter for DOXOLOGY: The Lutheran Center for Spiritual Care and Counsel. He hosts LutheranPhilosopher.com and teaches in the PhD Missiology program at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
