Animal-Assisted Therapy Certificate
Our AAT Certificate is a perfect option to add to your PMHNP post-graduate certificate. Through this program, you'll learn to harness the strength of the human-animal bond to create positive therapeutic environments for your clients. This certificate consists of four courses, three of which are fully online, and the fourth course has online prep work and requires one weekend a month on-campus in Mequon, Wisconsin. Weekend intensives are coordinated around cohort availability.
Opioid Impacted Family Support Specialist Certificate
Want to build out your understanding and credentialing in order to work with clients experiencing substance use or opioid use disorders? This 3-credit program is fully online, and it will expand your knowledge, skills, and expertise in order to provide services to families related to SUD and OUDs.
This project is supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and is grant funded; 100% of the tuition and a stipend will be given to those accepted into this certificate program.

This program can be completed in as little as one year with a total of 500 clinical hours which are to be completed over the course of the program under the supervision of a psychiatrist, certified therapist, or counselor. Clinical hours may include optional weekend and evening clinical rotations.
During clinical placement, you can expect to gain hands-on practice in the provision of therapy, diagnosis, treatment, and counsel of patients with mental health conditions.
Our Clinical Contract Coordinator will help you navigate the clinical placement process, but ultimately it is your responsibility to find a clinical placement.

States have established standards of practice for the nursing profession. While at the present time, we cannot provide a particular state’s educational requirements for licensing, we can assure you that we will provide you with the contact information for the state Board of Nursing for the state in which you are doing study. We are currently not accepting new students from Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Dakota, Tennessee Texas, or Wyoming. Additionally, Washington D.C. students are required to do clinicals in Virginia. Concordia University of Wisconsin is approved by the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission to conduct practice experiences in the state of Washington for the MSN/FNP and MSN/AGPCNP program tracks.
