Nurse Practitioner
Do you desire to take patient care to the next level by becoming an NP? At Concordia, we offer two clinical/primary care specializations: Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. These post-grad certificates are perfect for students looking to bridge the gap between an RN license obtained through a direct-entry MSN program to their NP license.
Psychiatric Mental Health NP
Have you already completed your advanced practice degree in nursing, but now you're looking to add a concentration in psychiatric mental health? Concordia's NEW post-graduate certificate puts an emphasis on neurobiology, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapy for the diagnosis and treatment of mental health. So if you're interested in becoming a counselor or therapist, this is the pathway for you!

Admission requirements
- Successful completion of an MSN or DNP from an accredited nursing school
- Students applying for the PMHNP program must have advanced practice license
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (science and undergraduate nursing GPA are appraised as part of the admissions process, a 3.0 GPA in those areas is strongly encouraged for review)
- Current unencumbered RN licensure
Application Deadlines:
- Fall Term = July 1st
- Spring Term = October 1st

Please Note: States have established standards of practice for the nursing profession. While at the present time, we cannot provide a particular state’s educational requirements for licensing, we can assure you that we will provide you with the contact information for the Board of Nursing for the state in which you are doing your study. We are currently not accepting new students from Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Dakota, Tennessee, or Wyoming. Additionally, Washington D.C. students are required to complete clinicals in Virginia.
